Chamaedorea elegans, the neanthe bella palm or parlour palm, is a species of small palm tree native to the rainforests in Southern Mexico and Guatemala. The parlor palm is one of the most extensively sold houseplant palms in the world.

Place in a light area out of direct sunlight, this will damage the leaves.

The growing medium should be moist, but allow it to dry out a little between waterings.

Water once or twice a week in summer and once every two weeks in winter. Repot the Chameadorea once every 2 years. This ensures that the plant has more soil and thus a larger storage for nutrients.
