The Friar Plum is a premium Japanese variety prized for its large, round fruit with deep purple, almost black skin. Inside, the firm amber flesh is exceptionally sweet and juicy, offering a rich flavor with a very small pit.

Sun: Requires full sun (at least 6–8 hours daily) to develop its dark color and high sugar content.

Water: Needs regular, deep watering during the growing season, especially while the fruit is sizing up.

Soil: Thrives in well-drained, fertile soil; avoid heavy clay areas where water might sit.
