At Derek Garden Centre, we're delighted to have recently completed the "Ħaż-Żabbar Project," an innovative initiative that showcases our expertise in sustainable urban design. In this ground-breaking project, we implemented roof gardens in a space that many people never thought could support greenery: parking lots.
Our team of skilled designers and horticulturists worked closely with the client to develop a vision for the project that would maximize the potential of the available space while delivering a sustainable solution that would benefit the environment and the community. The result was a stunning series of roof gardens that provided much-needed greenery to an urban environment while simultaneously protecting cars from the elements.
In addition to the roof gardens, we also created an inviting public space that included benches, a green wall, and various forms of shelter that offers shade and protection from the rain. This area provides a peaceful oasis for people to sit and observe the piazza around them, adding to the overall appeal and liveability of the area.
Our expertise in sustainable urban design is not limited to greenery. In this project, we also handled the paving, benches, stairwells, and irrigation, among other things ensuring that every aspect of the project was completed to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
We're thrilled with the results of the "Ħaż-Żabbar Project," which provides a shining example of the transformative power of sustainable urban design.
