Green festival -infiorata 2026

As the creative force behind the transformation of the iconic St George's Square, we are proud to present the results of our installation for the Valletta Green Festival 2026. This edition has been particularly significant for us, as it marks our fifth consecutive year of reimagining the historic epicentre of the Maltese capital as a vibrant, living sanctuary.

The Scale of the Installation

To bring this contemporary garden to life, we deployed a logistical operation that celebrates our five-year milestone, seamlessly blending aesthetics with environmental consciousness:

• Urban Woodland: We integrated 100 mature trees, including species such as olive and carob, providing essential shade and structure to the square.
• Floral Tapet: A carpet of 12,000 flowers, featuring intensely coloured petunias, provided a striking contrast to Valletta’s historic limestone.
• Green Density: The planting of 45,000 shrubs created an atmosphere of refuge, highlighted by the use of aromatic species like lavender and sage.

Artistic Design and Sustainability

Our installation in the main square was complemented by a monumental structure rising three storeys high, making it the largest piece of its kind ever realised in the country. Furthermore, we designed a journey starting from the City Gate, where an artistic installation based on traditional Maltese patterns guided visitors towards the grand floral oasis in front of Parliament.

Our Philosophy

After five years of continuous work, our vision extends far beyond the ornamental. We aimed to:

1. Promote Biodiversity: Create a temporary habitat for urban wildlife in the heart of the city.
2. Social Wellbeing: Provide a space of tranquillity and respite for both citizens and tourists.
3. Environmental Awareness: Highlight our collective responsibility toward the environment and the importance of integrating nature into our urban landscapes.

We are immensely satisfied with the public's response throughout the event. Seeing St George's Square transformed into this "Infiorata" of life for the fifth time has been the greatest reward for our hard work and dedication.
